This poor egret was huddled on a little cypress last August after a storm cell had just blown through. I happened to go out to the Everglades towards the end of Tropical Storm Fay to photograph the storm and sky and the effects. It's not a good time to paint plein air out there though, considering the air is thick with mosquitoes.
